Well..finally it looks like we might be getting some very welcomed percepitation this weekend. The Truckee River bite has slowed down a bit. I’ve been fishing stoneflies, winter stones, baetis, and midges….Make sure you have the right depth, if in doubt – add more weight! Lots of these winter fish are tucked down low next to a rock, behind a rock, or in front of a rock. Look for new water that you haven’t fished, you might find a new spot. On another note, some locals/guides keep pounding the same runs, so the fish are becoming a bit more wise….Heres a toast to mother nature! Bring it on!
