About

After finding a passion for the outdoors at a young age. I became obsessed with fishing and the outdoors. My father sparked my interest when he brought me fishing early-on.  We ventured to the Stanislaus River in central California. I’ve been hooked ever since….

While attending Chico State University I was able to fly fish at every opportunity; fueling my passion. Upon graduating the Master’s Program at Clearwater Fly Fishing School, I had fine-tuned my existing skills and more importantly enhanced my ability to teach both beginner and advanced fly anglers, the basics and nuanced techniques on all bodies of water; respectively. Understanding the fundamentals are key to becoming a successful fly fisherman!

I became a permanent resident in Tahoe area 15 years ago; specifically the town of Truckee, to pursue both fly fishing and skiing. The Tahoe-Truckee area provides ample opportunity to engage in both activities, not to mention the availability for other enumerable outdoor activities. Currently, I guide in Alaska at Baranoff Wilderness Lodge from June to the end of September. Winter, early-spring and fall I guide in California. My featured waters are the Truckee and Little Truckee Rivers, as well as many lakes in the North Tahoe area.  I also have a jet boat that is used for striper and bass on some of the local lakes and reservoirs in the Truckee/Chico area.  Looking for a great experience or want to learn about fly-fishing?
