Fish, Baseball, & Great Weather

Needless to say, but the fishing has been prime right now…the bugs are coming off and the fish have sprung off their typical winter diet. We got some rain in the forecast for the next few days, but fishing should still be good. It takes quite a bit of rain to blow the Truckee out. So on that note, the Truckee is fishing well; BWO’s, winter stones, midges, etc.  On the NV side, the bugs are literally flying under your glasses, in your waders, and in your eye.  I’ve started fishing at 8 AM all the way through the evening and haven’t found a “golden hour.”  My advice, fish the run thoroughly with perfect drifts for best success.  BWO’s about mid-day, as well as winter stones. I fished with my buddy yesterday and we had an awesome day landing fish on a consistent basis.  Oh yeah, IT’S BASEBALL SEASON!!  Even though the start for the SF Giants didn’t go so well, yesterday Bum pitched a stellar game.  Tonight we got Timmy on the mound, look out Beckett. Photos from the last few.  Thanks for reading!
