Guided Fly Fishing year round in the Truckee and Lake Tahoe area provides ample opportunity to catch fish, big fish.. Whether you are a beginner or accomplished angler, the goal is to create an unparalleled fly fishing experience for all ages. All methods of fly fishing will work well on our rivers, just depending on the time of year of course. Your fly fishing guide, Chris Maher, will explain the details of fly fishing, which flies to use, and the proper fly fishing rod/rig setup. California, in general has a very diverse population of trout ranging from the Golden Trout, McCloud Redband, and the Lahontan Cutthroat. Our main target will be Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout in the Truckee and Tahoe area. The opportunity to catch beautiful trout presents itself daily on the Truckee River, due to a catch and release section for wild trout.
